We’re looking for an experienced and motivated People and Operational Advisor to join our expanding People and Operations team in our Department of Citizens’ Sydney office.

As the People and Operational Advisor, reporting to the Director of People and Operations, your role is to deliver operational support to your team. You will also be responsible for HR duties of recruitment, learning and development, performance management, HR policy and process advice, and supportive culture practices for the department leaders, employees and relevant stakeholders.

Administrative Officer

Are you an enthusiastic Administrative Officer looking to develop and expand your skill set? As part of the Department of Citizens’ administrative team, there are plenty of ongoing opportunities to learn and work on a variety of projects across all departmental areas.

You will work under the general direction of the Administration Coordinator and undertake procedural administrative and clerical operational tasks. Your role will also include research and analytical activities to support our ministers.

Grant Support Officer
Department: Health and Disability

Location: Melbourne, VIC

The Grant Support Officer will support the Department of Citizens’ Health and Disability Grants team.

Duties will include operational and administrative tasks and customer service for relevant stakeholders and members of the public. The customer service requirements are in person, via written correspondence and telephone.

Our ideal candidate is a high-performing team member with demonstrated administrative skills, a customer service focus, and a passion for contributing to better health and disability services across Australia.

Current traineeships, apprenticeships and employment placement opportunities

DPC Trainee Program
Duration: 12 months
Location: Australia wide
Applications close: 10 October 2022

The DPC Trainee Program is an excellent opportunity for school leavers or mature-age workers looking for an exciting career change to gain valuable experience by joining the Department of Citizens.

Over the 12-month trainee program, participants will have the opportunity to learn and grow their skills, capabilities and confidence with on-the-job training across all sectors of the Department of Citizens.

Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a Certificate III in Citizens, a formal and recognised qualification.

The trainee program is an exciting opportunity to begin a long-term career with the Department of Citizens and to contribute towards making Australia a better place to live.

Employment Experience Placement Program (EEPP)
Duration: 8 weeks
Location: Australia wide
Applications close: 1 November 2022

The 8-week Employment Experience Placement Program (EEPP) allows participants to gain real-world experience in the workforce. Placements are available across a variety of sectors in the Department of Citizens.
